All you need to remove tartar buildup at home:
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Dental pick
- Antiseptic mouth wash
Baking soda is the most popular and effective tool for removing plaque. First you need to do is mix in a cup 1 tbsp of baking soda with half a tbsp of salt. Than take a toothbrush previously cleaned with warm water, dip into the mixture, and scrub your teeth for about 5 minutes.
Afterwards, mix a cup full with hydrogen peroxide with half a cup of warm water and rinse your mouth for one minute.
Rub the yellow tartar from teeth with a dental pick. Be careful not to scrape the gums because it may irritate and damage them. Rinse mouth with an antiseptic mouth wash and repeat every second day.

Strawberries and Tomatoes
Tomatoes and strawberries, because they are high in vitamin C, makes them excellent for oral health. Rubbing this fruits directly on your teeth will soften the tartar. Rub on your teeth for about 5 minutes, than rinse with baking soda mixed with warm water. You can use other fruits as well, such as berries, lemons, oranges and papaya. Just do the same procedure with any one of them.
Swiss or Cheddar cheese acts as a neutralizer against the acids that are main creators of plaque on your teeth. An ingredient in aged cheese works as a barrier against plaque.
